Scarabisso is a pop ceramicist who specializes in decoration. I designed a new look for her business, pop, nostalgic, playful, with that touch of madness that makes her, her: a font inspired by Letraset and Frankfurter, the transfer lettering every nostalgic soul loves, but above all inspired by the warmth and mark of a hand-painted brushstroke. The logo is meant to capture both the round shape of a ceramic plate and a scribble—a "scarabisso," basically—born from two S's chasing each other in one quick gesture. Soft font, primary colors, simple shapes: every piece of ceramic is handmade, and the logo is too, in a way, with letters spaced out by hand.
